Anna Marie Sprintz, 93, died on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at the Rouse Nursing Home after a short illness.
She had several part-time jobs and was a great housewife. She enjoyed taking care of her family by sewing and cooking Italian dishes and delicacies. The pinnacle of her career was owning and operating Maria’s Pizza Shop in McKeesport with her husband John.
Marie was a devout Christian and very active in her church. Her legacy and advice to her family was to keep the Lord Jesus Christ at the center of their lives.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 60-year-old husband, John J. Sprentz, who passed away in 2018, and her brother David Farina.
She is survived by her children Joe (Beth) Sprentz, Joanne (Tom) Kovach and Jim (Shana) Sprentz. Grandchildren Sarah (Jason) Peterson, Andrew Sprentz, Kelly (Tim) Mediate, John (Courtney) Kovach, Anthony Sprentz, Isabella Sprentz and James Sprentz. She is further survived by great-grandchildren Degan and Logan Peterson, Sophia Mediate, and Kace, Callahan, and Cannon Kovach.
Marie and John enjoyed their time at the Rouse Suites and the special relationships with the staff and residents.
