York County officials work to fill jobs in a staff shortage

YORK COUNTY, SC (CN2 NEWS) — Getting an interview while looking for a job can sometimes seem impossible, but the York County Regional Chamber says now is the best time to start applying as companies hire people.

The House says there are currently more than 5,000 jobs available in York County, creating labor shortages for several companies. The vacant positions are the result of a variety of reasons, including an increase in retirements and the expansion of the company.

The Chamber is working to fill those vacant positions by partnering with companies and educators to raise awareness of vacant positions.
